Hi! i am connie [I asked my son what I should write about myself. He came up with that great opening line... even typed it for me!]. Obviously I'm a mom. That's the best job in the world. I have been exceedingly blessed with three amazing children who fill my days with joy, laughter and dirty laundry. Fortunately, I also have a wonderful Super Hero Husband [who, btw, cleans that dirty laundry- I bet even Brad Pitt doesn't do that, so eat your heart out Angelina Jolie!]. Without him this blog probably would not happen- although he doesn't enjoy design [at all], he has been lifting, hauling, lugging, [dumpster diving- literally, [I told you] he's the best!] and aiding me on my projects for the past 14 years.
I have enjoyed doing some form of art my entire life. When I was really little my mom bought me my very own pad of paper on which to draw [I was the youngest of 6 kids, so the words "my very own" were virtually unheard of... this was a big deal!]. She did not do this because she was an awesome mom [she was, though], she did it because I filled every one of her journals and daily planners with my drawings! That's my earliest memory of loving art, and I have been using my creative abilities in one way or another ever since.
I began helping clients create beautiful rooms for their homes as an Interior Consultant a little over five years ago, and I LOVE it! Creating this blog is an extension of that service [because I can only drive so far for a consultation!] and I am sooooooo excited about it!
One last piece of information about me [saved the best for last]. I am able to experience true joy and peace in my relationships [huband, children, family & friends] and in my passions [creativity, design & chocolate :)] because I have the most important thing in this life: a realtionship with the Prince of Peace, Christ Jesus. "We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins." Romans 3:22-24 It's true.
And don't worry if you don't agree with me, 'cause I still love ya [and so does he].
